Is a Professor of Law at the School of Law and Politics (Cardiff University) and an HEA National Teaching Fellow (2016). Jason worked as a solicitor in private practice, and joined the School’s Centre for Professional Legal Studies in 2003 to teach on the vocational courses for aspiring solicitors and barristers. Between 2014-2020, Jason supervised a student advice project delivered in partnership with a leading learning disability charity (Mencap Cymru), as part of the School's clinical legal education programme. In 2018, Jason was appointed as University Dean for Student Employability, and is responsible for developing and implementing the University's employability strategy. Away from the University, Jason sits as a fee-paid Tribunal Judge hearing appeals in the Social Entitlement Chamber, which support his pedagogy by maintaining the currency of his practice experience.
