Maxim Tomoszek got his Master degree in Law (2002) and Ph.D. in Constitutional Law (2012) at the Law Faculty of Palacký University in Olomouc, in the Czech Republic. Since 2004, he is a teacher at the Department of Constitutional Law, in years 2008-2015, he was also the director of the Centre for Clinical Legal Education. Since 2016, he serves at Palacký Law School as the vice-dean for teaching and students affairs. He teaches Constitutional Law and Human Rights, Professional Ethics, Human Rights Clinic and Patients' Rights Clinic. He has published several articles in the area of human rights, positive obligations of states and constitutional review of such rights. He regularly participates in local and global conferences focusing on human rights and clinical legal education and has co-organized several international conferences focusing on clinical legal education or professional ethics. Since 2011, he is a member of Global Alliance for Justice Education (currently serving as a member of its Steering Committee), and since 2013 he is the president of European Network for Clinical Legal Education.
